An exciting new opportunity has arisen at the Poverty Alliance to contribute to the delivery of a range of poverty related research projects. The post will provide maternity cover for our research role, taking the lead on the delivery of a range of on-going projects. These projects include ones covering the implementation of Universal Credit, health inequalities, employability evaluation. The post will be suitable an experienced researcher who has a broad range of interests and experience in social policy research.
Over the course of the project the Research Officer will be responsible for a range of tasks including: recruitment of research participants; design of materials; report writing; monitoring and evaluation. We are looking for an individual with a track record in conducting participatory social research, particularly in the voluntary and community sectors. The successful applicant will possess a sound understanding of research issues around poverty and inequality Scotland.
The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG scheme.
