An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to work within the multi-disciplinary Family Support Team in Robin House.
Robin House is one of the two hospices run by CHAS, which delivers the only hospice service of its kind in Scotland. This vacancy for the role of Social Worker is an exciting and unique opportunity to work alongside a highly motivated and skilled team and to be part of an organisation where everyone is passionate about the work we do.
You will play a key role in providing a comprehensive social work service to babies, children or young people with life-limiting conditions and their families, focusing on the co-ordination, development and delivery of service provision designed to assist with the issues related to the child or young person’s condition and the impact it has upon the wider family.
It is essential that you have a degree or diploma in social work and be registered with the SSSC. You should also have relevant post-registration experience of working with children and young people and complex family situations where loss and change are prevalent. You will have highly developed communication and negotiation skills as well as the ability to adapt the support you provide to meet the needs of individual families.
