MCFB is seeking a suitably qualified, skilled and motivated individual to lead this innovative project which combines direct work with children; family support; school-based group work and a new partnership with Big Hearts (registered charity). The project works with vulnerable and disadvantaged Black and Minority Ethnic children and their families. The group work uses sport as a medium to promote peer relationships and improve community cohesion.
You will have substantial experience of direct work with vulnerable children and families; experience of project management and supporting other workers. A strong commitment to anti-oppressive practice and inclusion is also essential. This post is initially funded by City of Edinburgh and the Scottish Government until 31st March 2020. The post requires membership of the PVG Scheme.
