We are appointing a Project Co-ordinator and a Development Worker for this new and exciting training project at Scottish Women’s Aid.
Both post holders will be responsible for supporting the development of a model to create and sustain a national body of trainers who can deliver affordable and high-quality gender and gendered VAWG training for public and third-sector organisations.
Both posts holders will also establish an Equally Safe (ES) training and competence framework, building on previous work carried out by the Violence Against Women (VAW) Training Consortia, and work collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders across Scotland.
The Project Co-ordinator will also strategically plan to assess how the demand can be met for affordable, ES trainers over a 5-10 year implementation period and support the commissioning and delivery of the segmentation research that collects Scottish data to support effective messaging about gender and VAWG.
The Development Worker will support the development of a VAWG curriculum that has gender at its core.
