Citizens Advice is set to deliver a new service called “Universal Support - Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives.
There will be a number of roles working with Citizens Advice Bureaux in regions across Scotland as they deliver a new service providing enhanced support to people claiming Universal Credit, as well as feed into the wider network and work of Citizens Advice Scotland.
Citizens Advice Scotland is currently looking for a full time Network Engagement Officers to join their team to foster a member-focused culture, and support colleagues to communicate and engage members effectively on related matters. The role is offered on a fixed- term basis until 31 March 2020 based in their Edinburgh office.
As a Network Engagement Officer you will work as an integral part of the service development team, delivering work to engage and support member organisations of Citizens Advice Scotland with a range of new service models, projects and programmes. Within the scope of the “Universal Support - Help to Claim” project, you assist Citizens Advice Bureaux in providing high quality, accessible and well managed service by gathering and sharing learning about how Universal Credit and the Help to Claim service is performing. You will work with other Network Engagement Officers together to develop an approach to sharing ideas and good practice from both the service and Universal Credit, and raise awareness of the service locally.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to analyse complex information, make decisions and formulate recommendations quickly, communicating clearly and accessibly. Your interpersonal skills are highly developed to be able to engage with and adapt to different audiences. You will possess excellent negotiation and influencing skills in order to achieve the best practice amongst the network. Within your role as a Network Engagement Officer, you will be expected to plan and work effectively under pressure to deadlines.
