Role

Support in Mind Scotland provides support for people whose lives are affected by mental health issues. This can include people directly affected by mental illness, family members, friends and supporters.

We are developing an exciting new initiative in the Lochaber area, building on our work at the Cothrom Lochaber Resource Centre in Fort William. In partnership with NHS Highland and voluntary sector agencies we will develop and support mental health work with a community-based focus. As a first step in this development we are looking for a dynamic and creative Outreach Worker to cover the Lochaber area.

Ideally the successful candidates will have an SVQ Level 3 or 4 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification) and substantial experience of providing support to people whose Mental Health issues seriously affect their lives.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

The post holder will be required to join the PVG Scheme.
