Safe Space supports survivors of childhood sexual abuse through one to one counselling, group-work, a young peoples’ service and an outreach service.

The post forms part of the team at Safe Space, based in Dunfermline. Initially working at the premises for training, the post holder will then deliver 12 hours of one-to-one counselling per week in schools and residential contexts, as well as liaison with professionals, within schools, Safe Space and other relevant bodies.

Within the 20 hour total the post holder must include the regular team meetings on Thursdays. Evening client appointments may be required, as may occasional weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be granted as appropriate. The holiday entitlement will be 5.6 weeks plus 9 public holidays pro rata. Staff attend weekly staff meetings, internal and external supervision.

This post is currently funded until March 2020.
