Role

Safe Space supports survivors of childhood sexual abuse through one to one counselling, group-work, a young peoples’ service and an outreach service.

These 2 posts form part of the team at Safe Space, based in Dunfermline. The post holders will deliver a minimum of 5 hours of one-to-one counselling per week predominantly in schools, as well as liaison with professionals, school staff, and other relevant bodies.

Post A will cover west Fife, e.g Dunfermline, Inverkeithing, Rosyth, Kelty

Post B will cover east Fife, e.g. Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes

While most of the 10 hour total will be fulfilled in schools, post holders must attend the regular team meetings at Safe Space on Thursdays. Evening client appointments may be required, as may occasional weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be granted as appropriate. The holiday entitlement will be 5.6 weeks plus 9 public holidays pro rata. Staff attend weekly staff meetings, internal and external supervision, and a clinical supervision group at Safe Space.
