Role

Stirling Carers Centre, Young Carers Service offers personalised and holistic services, to unpaid young carers in the Stirling Council area. Our core services include group support, 1:1 emotional support, provision of information and advice, school holiday day trips and residentials. Alongside focusing on individual needs and outcomes, we also promote professional and public awareness of young carers' issues and offer young carers the opportunity to be involved in the development of local services for all young carers.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated applicants with excellent communication skills, who can demonstrate a commitment to partnership working together with an understanding of the needs and difficulties faced by young carers.

The post holder will provide direct support to young carers, aged 7-18yrs living in rural locations within the Stirling Council area. This will be done through providing tailored 1:1 support in school, by facilitating age specific group support and by providing short breaks for young carers through day trips and residential overnight breaks. The post holder will also be responsible for carrying out regular review and assessments of the young carers they support.

The successful candidate will be subject to a PVG check.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
