Role

Due to team expansion an exciting vacancy has arisen within a leading Veteran’s Charity in the Glasgow area.

Making the transition from a career in the Armed Forces into civilian life can be tricky. The Coming Home Centre is a charity that works with veterans at their point of need and offers assistance with issues surrounding mental and physical health, homelessness, housing, pensions, benefits support, employment and training, bike maintenance workshops, adventurous activities, friendship and camaraderie.

The Coming Home Centre is situated within the Pearce Institute in Govan, Glasgow. For over 4 years it has become a brand leader in engaging veterans at their point of need. The Centre operates a drop-in policy five days a week whereby any Armed Forces Veteran or serving military personnel can enjoy tea and coffee all day and a hot meal at lunchtime. The Centre also provides a welcoming, comfortable and secure place within which to relax, watch television and enjoy the company of other like-minded individuals in an atmosphere that veterans can relate back to their own Service.

The Operations Manager will oversee the day to day running of this outstanding facility, managing a small but enthusiastic team consisting of Centre Coordinator, Administrator, Client Worker, Catering Manager and volunteer support staff.

If you have a background in facility management, have a passion for veteran issues and welcome a challenge then we would like to hear from you.
