Role

Aberlour Futures - Dumfries and Galloway

We support children and young people, between the ages 11-18, who are facing issues within mainstream education. We have 3 bases throughout Dumfries and Galloway- Annan, Dumfries and Stranraer.

Our Young People’s Workers help young people with their education, by encouraging them to take control of their learning and help build their confidence. Working both with individuals and small groups, you will help our young people to shape the style and content of their education; this could be getting additional help with school work or support with practical skills, activities and sports. You will become a “trusted” person for our young people, who they can confide in.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and committed individuals who share our ambition. Successful candidates must be comfortable in a culture based on respect, integrity, innovation and the ability to challenge. We support our staff to be as effective as they can be, so these roles require individuals who will be exceptional role models for the children and staff and help them to manage the challenges that the work and living environment present. We require you to hold a driving license for minimum 12 months and have access to a vehicle.

As an Aberlour employee, you will:

• Receive a supported induction,

• be part of a highly motivated and skilled team

• receive continual personalised support

• have access to a well-developed training programme,

• excellent annual leave entitlement

• access to our group pension scheme

• access to our retail discount scheme
