Throughout the UK, we have seen great success in embedding CRUK as a leading influencer in cancer policy. With a wide range of policy challenges ahead on the horizon we aim to ensure our insight and evidence is a big part of taking these on. Why this role?
Here at Cancer Research UK, we work to inspire volunteers, unite the scientific community, educate the public about cancer prevention and tell our story to the government to bring about change. Now we need a Public Affairs Manager with strong relationship building experience to deliver our influencing and engaging activities in Scotland.
You will be part of senior external engagement in Scotland, acting as primary point of contact for MSP, Scottish Government and other cancer and medical research key opinion leaders. You will pursue agreed policy priorities with key influencers, working closely with other charities and umbrella bodies as required whilst growing our profile in this area.
