Starter Packs Glasgow is a charity based in Govan working to alleviate poverty across the city. By providing packs of essential household goods to those moving into a new tenancy, often after homelessness, we can make houses more homely, and help people to sustain their tenancy. We do this through the help and support of our local community, much-needed donations and the many staff and volunteers we’re lucky to work with.
Our van team are often ‘the face of Starter Packs Glasgow’. It is this team who are responsible for delivering our packs to our customers; their experience of us as a charity depends on their experience of our van team members. Equally, the van team are responsible for the collection and delivery of donations and sold goods to our supporters and shop customers; their impression of our van team can influence whether they choose to support us again in future. Our customers let us into their homes, and all deserve to receive a professional service and to be treated with dignity and respect. It is vital that our Van Crew Supervisor appreciates the importance this can play in the ongoing success of the charity. We are, therefore, looking for someone who can inspire the team, not only to meet high standards in vehicle maintenance and health and safety but also to deliver exemplary customer service.
