YouthLink Scotland is looking to appoint a National Development Officer to drive forward the #iwill campaign in Scotland to help create quality youth volunteering and social action opportunities, within a range of sectors, together with Education Scotland and Young Scot. The post is funded by The Robertson Trust, Pears Foundation and Step Up To Serve.
The candidate should have the ability to progress the campaign priorities around reducing barriers to volunteering for less affluent young people and earlier engagement in volunteering/social action and to link with emerging volunteering areas and the wider context in Scotland e.g. the new ‘volunteering outcomes framework’.
This is a fixed term post for three years. The starting salary is £32,836. The company offers a 9.5% non-contributory pension scheme. The post will be based at the YouthLink Scotland offices in Edinburgh. The normal working week is 35 hours. By its nature, the post will sometimes require work to be undertaken during evenings and weekends. Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days plus 12 public holidays.
YouthLink Scotland is an equal opportunities employer.
