Bellshill and Mossend YMCA - Pathways to Confidence
Pathways to Confidence is a partnership project which aims to improve outcomes for children and young people aged 8-14 years and their families who are experiencing difficulty in their lives. These difficulties include social isolation, low confidence, and disengagement from school or in the community.
You should be a passionate and caring individual who will be directly working with vulnerable young people to ensure positive outcomes are met. A flexible, innovative approach is necessary. It is essential that you are a committed individual that will work with young people to identify their strengths and give the support needed to maximise these.
It is desirable that you have a sound knowledge of the core principles of supporting vulnerable young people. With excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be passionate about the benefit of befriending support and volunteering. Being highly motivated, you will have the ability to observe the attention to detail necessary to ensure excellent case recording.
This post will involve out of hours, evening and possible weekend working. Essential – Car driver with access to a car / PVG check.

The interview process will be a 2 stage process:
Stage 1 of the process will be an application form, highlighting your character along with your experience. The closing date for all applicants will be Thursday 15th November at midnight and all shortlisted applicants will be contacted by 5PM on Friday 16th November via telephone.
Stage 2 of the recruitment process will require you to come along to a face to face interview at Bellshill and Mossend YMCA. Interviews will take place at 6pm at the YMCA in Bellshill on Thursday 22nd November 2018.
