BTA (Bruce Tait Associates) are delighted to be working exclusively with St Andrew’s First Aid to recruit a Head of Volunteer Development.

St Andrew’s First Aid is Scotland’s only dedicated first aid charity and their mission is to provide everyone in the country with the highest standards in first aid skills, services and volunteering opportunities. They believe that no-one should suffer or die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. The network, of almost 1000 volunteers, works hard to provide the highest standards in first aid whether at events or teaching in communities across Scotland.

This is your opportunity to work with an inspiring and dedicated team supporting a large volunteer programme. The charity is recruiting a Head of Volunteer Development to provide leadership for the St Andrew’s volunteer Corps, ensuring a high standard of quality control and experience for its dedicated team of volunteers.

You will be a problem solver with the ability to co-ordinate volunteers and staff to work together effectively. You will be a leader with experience of working at a strategic level within a similar size of organisation and you will be able to communicate effectively and network across a diverse range of internal and external contacts and stakeholders.

The importance of the role of a St Andrew’s First Aid volunteer cannot be underestimated, they make safer communities and save lives. The Head of Volunteer Development has the opportunity to work at the heart of one of Scotland’s leading volunteer experience charities, making an enviable contribution to the sector.
