Role

Be part of something different!

Following a review of ministry requirements to complement traditional parish ministry, The Ministries Council of the Church of Scotland is pleased to be able to recruit for the following role:

St Andrews Presbytery

Mission Development Worker, full time, Eden-Tay Cluster

Ministries Council roles are varied and will allow you to use your gifts, skills and experience to make a difference to the lives of people in our parishes and communities.

Main Purpose of post: To stimulate and develop new initiatives in mission and discipleship and to help the churches in the Eden-Tay Cluster to “connect with the disconnected”; and to develop a process that will equip the congregations to sustain these initiatives beyond the 5 year period.

Context: The Eden-Tay Cluster consists of four charges in the North West corner of the Presbytery of St Andrews: Edenshead (vacant), Falkland linked with Freuchie (in Guardianship), Lindores (in Guardianship) and The Howe of Fife. Since 2014 these congregations have been working steadily towards a more collaborative approach to ministry and mission of the whole people of God. All four charges are involved in the Path of Renewal process. In 2016-17 a professional community audit highlighted the generational and cultural disconnect between the churches and the people in our communities.
