About Our Service
Lanarkshire Houses is a care home which provides exceptional quality person-centred support to 16 adults with a range of disabilities. The accommodation comprises 10 self-contained flats located close to the centres of Carluke and Lanark. Our aim is to promote inclusion and equality within the local community and to ensure that outstanding services are provided to meet the needs and aspirations of the people we support.
About the role
We are looking to recruit an experienced social care manager to be the registered manager for our care service. You will be able to demonstrate vision, exceptional leadership skills, a track record of managing and developing services and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be required to effectively and efficiently manage the resources available to ensure people experience exceptional person-centred support.
You will take a lead role in future development of the service and will be required to prepare, plan and implement operational plans and controls in line with the SSSC Codes of Practice, the new Health and Social Care Standards and Capability Scotland's policies and procedures.
Experience in a social care management role is essential
Knowledge of legal, regulatory and policy requirements relating to the social care setting
Detailed understanding of risk management
Strong leadership skills and
Hold* a registered Manager's award (SVQ level 4 with Leadership and Management Award) or equivalent *(or working towards)
Registered with the SSSC or be eligible to become registered
Full Driving Licence* (we will consider alternative arrangements that achieve the same outcomes for candidates that have a disability that prevents them from having a driving licence)
