Prison Fellowship Scotland (PFS) is a Christian organisation working in Scotland’s prisons with men, women and young people in all categories of prison irrespective of faith or background. It supports prisoners’ families, cares for prisoners, and delivers the leading in-prison restorative justice course. The strength of its work is the relationships that its volunteers create with prisoners on their journey through prison that both challenge and encourage them to change. In non-judgemental but realistic ways Prison Fellowship Scotland volunteers provide support through group courses and working one-to-one with individuals.

We are looking for an Executive Director who will lead the innovation and development of our work. They will be responsible for creative strategies to develop the volunteer network, open up new opportunities and build new partnerships critical to meeting evolving needs. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership, developing and implementing Prison Fellowship Scotland’s strategic plans, leading on partnership development, and being an effective advocate for the charity and those it serves. They will also provide operational management and financial control, and ensure good governance across all aspects of the charity.
You must have faith in Jesus, be part of a Faith community and possess a willingness to support people on their faith journey. This post is subject to an Occupational Requirement that the post holder is a committed Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
