Do you have what it takes to make a difference?

Would you like to do something different next Monday morning? To forget the never-ending 9-5 and make a real difference to someone's life? Or maybe you are already working in social care and want to join an organisation with values at its core?

Well this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.....

ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities. You should have the drive, commitment and motivation to support people with physical and learning difficulties, striving to make sure they have the same opportunities as everyone else.

We currently have an exciting vacancy within the West Lothian area for a confident and motivated person to support different people within their own home and out and about in the community. One lady in particular is moving back to the West Lothian area from Renfrew where the transition will include some shadow support within her home in Renfrew initially.

I am a young woman who moved into my home in Renfrew in 2001 and have enjoyed building my independence and confidence with all that this involves. I am now going to be moving back to Livingston to be closer to my family. Some of my interests at the moment are keeping up to date with all the soaps on television, listening to music as well as playing music on her keyboard, chatting, going out for drives in my car, going on my laptop and staying in touch with friends on Facebook, spending time with my family and most of all I enjoy everything about London and Blackpool.

If you think you could share the same interests and have the commitment to support me and other people within their own homes in West Lothian to get the most out of life, this might be the opportunity for you.

If successful your role will include:

Assisting with shopping

Assisting with her personal care

Assistance with mobility aid

Assisting with food preparation

Helping with household chores

Attending health appointments

Planning and engaging in Social Activities

At ENABLE Scotland we believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities. We also provide excellent employee benefits including a Contributory Pension Scheme and an Employee Healthcare Plan.
