Do you have what it takes to make a difference?
Would you like to do something different next Monday morning? To forget the never-ending 9-5 and make a real difference to someone's life? Or maybe you are already working in social care and want to join an organisation with values at its core?
Well this may be the opportunity you have been looking for.....
ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and we have exciting opportunities for you to support a young woman in East Kilbride and a young man in Rutherglen and to make the most of their lives.
That could mean supporting them to live independently in their own home or take part in activities we take for granted. And, who knows, it could make a difference to your life as well.
We have 4 posts available:
1x up to 18 hours per week in East Kilbride
3x 24-39 hours per week in Rutherglen
Here's a little more about them:
"The young woman lives at home with family in East Kilbride. She is fun to be around and open to trying any new activities that may be available in both the local and wider area. She is supported to keep active, improve her fitness and try out new activities where she could meet new people."
"The young man in Rutherglen recently returned to the family home after a stay in hospital. He has settled in really well but still requires support to adjust to the changes around his health. He is supported to get to know his local community again and develop a new activity plan. This involves activities he already enjoys and trying new things. He has great sense of humour, is fun to be around and has a close relationship with his family. He needs support with all aspects of daily living including his mobility and managing his anxieties. He enjoys music and swimming. He has his own car so it is preferable that his personal assistants have a full driving licence."
If you think you could share the same interests and have the commitment to support these young people to get the most out of life please click the link to apply now. Please indicate which post you are interested in on your application.
Some experience in care would be beneficial but it is not essential to start your career with ENABLE Scotland. We recruit people based on their values and transferrable skills.
What's also great about ENABLE Scotland is that we believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities including SVQ Level 2.
Remember this is #morethanajob - it's the first step to you making a difference and beginning your career with an award winning charity with its values at its core.
