Simon Community Scotland is the largest provider of homelessness services in Scotland, with a reputation for excellence. Everything we do is about and for people: the people we support, our staff, our partners and everyone affected by homelessness.

Our Streetwork service in Edinburgh supports people with exceptional needs and we need exceptional people to help us. At Streetwork we are wholly focused on supporting people to be safe, to get off the streets and into accommodation where we continue to provide support to help them stay safe. Our values matter to us and we are looking for people who share those, who are committed to making a positive difference, and who are skilled in relating to people and working in a person-centred way to support resolution and recovery from homelessness.

We currently have a number of opportunities for Support Workers to join our team, see attached job description. Our work takes place 7 days a week at times that meet the needs of the people we support. Support Workers also contribute to covering our Helpline overnight on a rota basis.

We will provide you with a starting salary of £18,087 rising in increments to £19,601 (Relief workers will get £9.03 hourly rate), life insurance is 4 times your salary, a contributory pension scheme where we pay 4%, 35 days annual leave (38 days after 5 years), holiday buy back scheme and childcare vouchers. We will also invest in your career through learning and development and we have an amazing program of classroom, online and self directed learning in place, backed by great leadership and an organisation that empowers frontline staff to deliver impact for service users.

In return we ask for your compassion, creativity, flexibility, eternal optimism and positive approach as well as a commitment to living the values of our organisation with your colleagues, partners and crucially with the people we support.
