We are seeking a support worker with experience of providing 1-1 support to young people (aged 13-25) affected by sexual violence. The post will initially be 21 hours to March 2020 with a view to extend to 35 hours, subject to funding.
The candidate will have knowledge and experience of a person-centred approach that encourages empowerment and self-help, which enables young people to recognise their own potential and take control of their lives.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of working with people affected by trauma and have a sound understanding of how equality issues impact on young people.
Candidates will possess competent I.T skills, the ability to effectively manage their own workload, process and maintain written records and be an enthusiastic team-player in relation to general Centre activities.
Full driving license and own car would be an advantage.
