This post has been continually funded by the Scottish Government since 2008 (35 hours per week). We have funding in place to the end of June 2020 and will be applying for continuation of funding in order to extend the contract.
The current worker in post is looking to job share. The successful candidate will work 21 hours one week and 14 hours the following week. The specific work pattern will be Wednesday to Friday one week and Wednesday / Thursday the following week (7 hours per day excluding lunch).
This is an outreach post, providing a service to children and young people across East Dunbartonshire including Bearsden and Milngavie. The main office base is in Kirkintilloch but the post holder will be required to travel extensively throughout the area.
Candidates should have an understanding of the feminist analysis of domestic abuse, experience of inter-agency working and be willing to work as part of a collective.
At least two years’ experience in supporting vulnerable children and young people is required. Applicants must hold a recognised relevant qualification at a minimum of SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and experience of grant monitoring and reporting is desirable.
