One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for a motivated, compassionate and dynamic individual to join us as Early Intervention Worker at our Edinburgh homeless service. It is a progressive, forward thinking project that offers a wide range of support services including a crisis intervention, group work and a café area, and aims to provide a safe place where clients feel a sense of comfort, dignity and social acceptance.
As Early Intervention Worker you will be key to ensuring the day to day running of the service, through one to one and group work to achieve successful outcomes for our vulnerable clients. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a high quality programme of engagement which promotes client choice and control. You will address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. You will also provide direct, practical support through the operation of the café, clothing store and engagement with other support partners in the centre and across Edinburgh.
