The Larder has grown significantly over the last few years and in particular since June 2018, when we grew from 9 members of staff to 21 by November 2018. Since August 2018 we have also increased the number of people that we train and support from 80 to over 200 from the age of 5 to 38.
To support this growth we are now recruiting an additional Assessor/Training officer who will join our team of 3 Training Officers and a Training Manager.
This is an exciting time to join us as we install a second training kitchen and continue to expand our enterprise income and training programmes and changing lives through food.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated person who has experience of working with the most disadvantaged young people and adults with multiple barriers to being all that they can be. Someone that can bring empathy and creativity to our training programmes so that the people that we work with have the possibility of reaching their full potential.
As The Larder uses food to engage with participants and build their confidence and skills we would seek to appoint someone with experience of the hospitality sector. However this is not an essential criteria as being able to assess SQA qualifications and create nurturing learning environments is much more important.
