LAYC is a regional organisation for youth and children’s groups in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian, offering advice, support and training to such groups.
LAYC’s mission is to champion, grow and strengthen the quality of youth and children’s work by supporting their Members to provide positive opportunities for children and young people.
An exciting full time (36 hours / week – three year in principle contract with an annual review) opportunity for a Director has arisen at LAYC. The duties will involve managing all LAYC activities and planning, managing and delivering agreed project(s) within timescales and budget.
The post holder will ensure collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders, to support the delivery of the LAYC strategic plan. The post holder will directly manage and be accountable for the Administration, Communications and Marketing Assistant and all associated budgets, and, supervise team members ensuring that they develop an understanding of their contribution to LAYC’s strategic priorities. In addition, the post holder will lead on networking activities locally and nationally.
The post holder will report to the Chair of the organisation. Flexible working options are available.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 15 August 2019 at LAYC HQ, Dunford House, 7 Boroughloch Lane, Edinburgh, EH8 9NL. Interview times will be agreed with each shortlisted candidate. Interviews will comprise of a short verbal presentation and a series of questions.
