Role

Scottish Women’s Aid (SWA) is looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled policy professional to become our new Children and Young People’s Policy Worker. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in children’s policy and/or children’s human rights, along with experience of working with diverse stakeholders, including children and young people.

You will understand the gendered analysis of domestic abuse and the issues, policies and legislation within Scotland affecting women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse, and will also understand children’s human rights including children’s participation principles and approaches.

We are seeking a diplomatic self-starter, with good communication skills and attention to detail; someone who gets work done within agreed timelines, works on her own initiative, and contributes constructively as part of a team.
