Addaction is one of the leading national charities providing evidence-based support for substance misuse, mental health and family services across the UK.
Our drug & alcohol recovery service in South Ayrshire; commissioned to provide a recovery service for people concerned about their own or someone else’s drug or alcohol use, is looking to recruit an experienced Recovery Worker.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of assessment, recovery planning, key working and the issues facing those with drug/alcohol issues, with experience of working with substance misuse service users in a health, social care or criminal justice setting.
Acting as both supporter and facilitator, you will help clients draw up recovery plans to assist them through and beyond the challenges they face, and work with them to make positive changes to their lives.
In addition you will have outstanding communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative and supportive manner. You will be someone who thrives under pressure, has good time management and prioritisation skills and can work well with others.
An SVQ Level 3 in Adult Social Care is required as a minimum qualification.

Our service base is located in Ayr and the successful candidate will be required to deliver services across the community so a driving license is essential.
Working hours are 5 days over 7. The working pattern will be agreed with the Service Manager on appointment.
