  • £9.65ph/£15,054pa plus pension contribution. Monthly pay frequency. 30 hrs a week to be worked over 5 days (Mon-Fri). Permanent (funding permitted).

Role

To competently manage financial and HR tasks such as managing salaries, financial records, PVG certificates, Staff Training Records, Petty Cash and Invoicing etc.

About the role

Play Alloa: Play Alloa is the leading provider of play and social opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and additional support needs (ASN) across Clackmannanshire and the Central Belt. The organisation was founded in 1992 and operated as an unincorporated organisation, gaining charitable status in 2005 and company status in 2010. The organisation has grown steadily and now employs a Project Manager, a Clerical Officer, a Finance Officer, a Development Officer and around 25 Sessional Staff dedicated to providing a range of creative and experiential play and social opportunities and sessions.

We currently support over 200 children and adults with no upper or lower age limits, covering a wide range of disabilities and ASN. Play Alloa is registered with the Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The successful candidate will provide:

1. HR Support

  • Staff Records
  • Timesheets
  • Holiday Requests Forms
  • Absence Recording
  • Sickness Forms
  • Disciplinary/Grievance Record Keeping
  • Recruitment Administration
  • Staff Training Administration
  • Staff Induction Packs
  • Maintain PVG/SSSC Registrations

2. Financial Support

  • Managing Salary payments (incl. pensions, tax, HMRC etc)
  • Banking/Petty Cash/Session Finances
  • Invoicing/Payment of Bills
  • Cash Flow
  • Day to Day Accounting (SAGE)
  • Funding Award Accounting (SAGE)
  • Annual Accounts Preparation
  • Processing Gift Aid, Donations
  • Regular Financial Reporting

3. Business Related Tasks

  • Maintain HR Related Quality Assurance Procedures
  • Maintain Finance Related Quality Assurance Procedures
  • Maintain Companies House/OSCR Registration
  • Maintain Insurance Renewals/Licences/Memberships
  • Financial/HR Reporting to the SPM
  • Oversee the work of the Admin Assistant in respect of Service User Management, Recording & Databases, and other general Clerical Task
