We are an independent, student-led organisation, with a rich and proud heritage. We were founded in 1890, as the Queen Margaret College, with a goal of giving women the opportunity to gain an education – something that was then missing from the academic community. We have a long history of providing activities and events for students of the University of Glasgow.
We are a progressive and inclusive organisation, going through a process of change that will enable us to build our capacity and success in the future. The organisation has enormous potential, and with the right leadership provides an opportunity to be part of a change project that will make a difference to the lives of thousands of students and build a lasting legacy for the future.
We are seeking an extremely well-organised and self-motivated individual coordinate QMU’s approach to engaging and connecting with Glasgow students.
The post holder will design and deliver a programme of engagement opportunities for students to volunteer and engage with QMU. They will ensure that QMU’s activities and opportunities are well-communicated and deliver excellent value and impact.
The candidate will also be expected to support elections, democratic processes and committee development as well as driving the Union’s work around employability and skills development.
