Role

SCIAF is the official international aid and development agency of the Catholic Church in Scotland. It works with people in some of the poorest countries in the world, providing emergency aid and practical long term support to those affected by hunger, poverty, war and disasters. In Scotland we mobilise public support in parishes, schools and the wider community to lobby governments and big business with campaigns to address the root causes of global poverty and injustice. Our mission is to create a more just world for all in which everyone can live life, and live it to the full. SCIAF is a registered Scottish charity.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Digital Officer to join the SCIAF team and use their skills to contribute to our life-changing work.

The successful candidate will be part of our fast-paced communication team, helping us spread the word about our work helping the poorest survive and thrive.

You’ll have responsibility for filling our website with vibrant and engaging content, building our social following, coordinating our busy email schedule and developing innovative marketing campaigns to inspire our loyal supporters.

You’ll be a highly motivated creative who can bring energy and fresh perspectives to our small, agile team, and have a 360 understanding of digital, with a mix of technical ability, copywriting experience and good knowledge of SEO and PCP.

At SCIAF you’ll be joining a friendly, dedicated team, where your skills and experience will make a real difference to our mission to end poverty.

Overall purpose of the Role

· Co-ordinate SCIAF’s fundraising, advocacy campaigning and corporate communications via digital channels (web, email, paid and organic social, PPC).

· To maintain and continue to develop SCIAF’s website in optimising for search, user experience and conversion rates.

· To co-ordinate SCIAF employees’ social media output, working with the Content Editor and teams across the organisation to ensure engaging content is produced in line with the SCIAF social media policy.

· To implement SCIAF’s digital marketing strategy.
