Carers of East Lothian (CoEL) is the leading local support organisation for people who are looking after friends or family who are frail, disabled or who have chronic health problems. We have an excellent reputation and are looking to further develop our committed team and the support we offer carers.
You will be responsible for setting up and coordinating a new counselling support service for carers as well direct provision of counselling. The post requires a good understanding of health and social care issues, considerable experience of providing person centre counselling and ideally of leading such a service. You must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be comfortable in the use of IT and have the ability to organise and manage a complex workload. This post is funded for one year initially but with the expectation that they will be extended. CoEL is based in Musselburgh but moving to offices in the new Community Hospital in Haddington in September.
