The Citizens Advice network in Scotland is the largest independent advice service in the country. Citizens Advice Scotland is a charity within this network – we act as a national organisation supporting and representing the service as a whole and the interests of citizens.

We are currently looking for a full time Senior IT Engineer whose area of responsibility will be around IT Security and Network. The role is offered on a permanent basis and is based in our Edinburgh offices.

In this role, you will be working closely with the rest of the IT team in a hands-on capacity, covering 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support issues mainly related to security and network change and incidents. You will develop policies and processes and provide training to improve user awareness. You will identify and remediate vulnerabilities, implement security tools and make recommendations to strengthen the organisation’s network and security infrastructure.

You have a successful track record in delivering multiple complex projects and initiatives within scope, budget and timeline and bring experience working in a senior IT support role in a technical environment. This is a crucial role within the IT Team and to be successful, you will need to have the necessary technical expertise combined with positive, collaborative and can do attitudes.
