Role

Rowland’s in partnership with Selkirk high school are looking for a Youth Engagement Worker. This is a new and exciting post for both organisations with the main role and responsibility being to support young people identified as being most in need and most in need and requiring additional interventions.

The post holder should have had experience in taking the lead in the planning, delivery and evaluate a variety of interventions responsive to the needs of the young people.

Be able to work in partnership with Rowlands and Selkirk staff team as well as other local community partners to enable there to be the best chances and positive destinations are available and accessible to our young people.

Use new and innovative ways in which to engage with the young people as well as where possible support the young people to record achievements through a variety of accredited programmes.

The role will be based predominantly in Selkirk high school with work also expected to take place within Rowlands.

The post is for 35 hours per week @ £19565 per annum.

The post is initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
