Role

The Head of Service - Epilepsy will report directly to the Chief Executive, and will be responsible for developing the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre (a unique, world class independent hospital) and our Epilepsy Field Work Services potential and extending their influence in Scotland.

We are seeking a highly motivated Health and/or Social Care professional with significant leadership experience and a proven track record of managing and developing health and/or social care services.

The successful candidate has a number of key objectives and accountabilities including:

  • To lead and further develop the William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre (WQSEC) and Epilepsy Field Work Services (EFW).
  • To ensure that the WQSEC is a sustainable, recognised centre of excellence for epilepsy in Scotland delivering the best possible diagnosis and treatment for people with complex epilepsy, to make the service more accessible for people with additional needs thus converting more referrals into admissions.
  • To ensure Quarriers significantly extends its reach and importance as the leading Scottish charity supporting and working with people with epilepsy across Scotland.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will have regular interactions with the Executive Team and our Board of Trustees.

Central to this role is the ability to work across boundaries ensuring we continue to transform the lives of those with epilepsy.
