We are offering a wonderful opportunity for a driven and focused individual to join the very successful and high performing Quarriers Business Development and Fundraising team as Business Development Manager.

Quarriers provides practical care and support for vulnerable children, adults and families who face extremely challenging circumstances across Scotland. We challenge poverty and inequality of opportunity to bring about positive changes in people’s lives. Quarriers have Investors in People Platinum accreditation and are one of only two social care organisations in Scotland to have this prestigious award. We are also an accredited Scottish Living Wage employer and pay sleepover hours at £8.75 per hour.

The Business Development and Fundraising Team raise funds to support this great work and the Business Development Manager would be an integral part in supporting and delivering this work.

This great opportunity is suited to someone who is ambitious, enjoys a fast paced environment, and has excellent organisational skills, with a strong background in Business Development and third sector or commercial organisations as well as experience in developing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability and experience of building a strong pipeline of business development opportunities across all aspect of the business. Providing strong management to maximise success in relation to organic growth and new development opportunities in line with the organisation’s operational plan

This is a varied role with a real focus on supporting cross-departmental team work to identify new business opportunities as well as building robust external relationships to enhance to profile of Quarriers. Reporting to the Head of Income Generation the post holder will be an integral part of the team.

This is a critical role, engaging and communicating effectively with a wide range of internal staff and external organisations. You will assist the team to grow, expand and develop existing business and identify new pipeline opportunities in all areas. The post would be suited to someone who is innovative, organised, driven to succeed and has experience within business development and relationship management. You would be comfortable working ambitiously and at pace, strong communications and interpersonal skills and thrive in a competitive and deadline-driven environment, and have the ability to engage productively with colleagues, partners and buyers.
