Role

Who Cares? Scotland is the country’s recognised national independent, representative membership organisation for Care Experienced people. Our vision is of a Lifetime of Equality, Respect and Love for Care Experienced people.

The post holder will provide leadership and direct management of Who Cares? Scotland Advocacy and Participation Workers (APW’s) within the South West regional team. The South West regional team comprises of our services and staff within East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire and Inverclyde. The post holder will develop and lead on our advocacy and participation activity within the region and to contribute to the overall activity and strategic direction of Who Cares? Scotland in line with the organisations vision, mission and values. We are also developing our volunteering offer within the Region and the post holder would lead on this with Leadership colleagues.

The right candidate will have a relevant degree level qualification and have significant experience of motivating and leading a staff team as well as managing budgets and performance targets. A current full driving licence is also essential.
