Children and Young Domestic Abuse Worker

Do you have what it takes to support children with their experience of domestic abuse? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic woman to join our children’s refuge team.

Our refuge team provides therapeutic 1-1 and groupwork for children living in refuge. These children need child led support to help them deal with their experience of domestic abuse and life in refuge.

The successful candidate must have experience of therapeutic work with vulnerable and traumatised children. You must have experience of carrying our support plans and risk assessments and experience of working with a multi agency approach to ensure children get the support they need. It is essential that you have an understanding of gender based violence and the feminist analysis of domestic abuse.

The successful candidate will have a qualification relevant to working with children and young people, such as SVQ Level 3 Social Service (Children and Young People). You must have a driving license and have access to a car.
