A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Media and PR Officer to join the Policy and Communications Team at Age Scotland and work with the existing Media & PR Officer on a Job Share basis.
The purpose of this role is to raise the profile of Age Scotland, promote awareness and understanding of its work through developing and delivering activity to secure high-quality media coverage - across print, broadcast and online - that builds the profile of the organisation, the Charity’s campaigns and its brand.
The successful applicant will have experience of working with the Scottish media, producing written communications for a variety of sources, as well as experience of social media campaigns and brand building. In-depth knowledge of the current social and political issues in relation to Scotland’s older people is essential to this role.
You will, of course, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise and engaging media copy.
The post will be based within our Edinburgh office. The hours required for this job share post are part day Wednesday and full days Thursday & Friday.
