You will provide leadership and external management to a range of social care services,identify opportunities for service growth and change, secure income streams to meet the changing needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families.

Applicants should have management level experience within the public, private or voluntary sector with direct experience of both management of services requiring a strong focus on safeguarding and liaison with local government, NHS or alternative funding commissioners.You will also be driven to influence local and national strategy, policy and practice to the benefit of vulnerable people.

The successful post holder will hold a relevant professional social care or social work qualification at SCQF level 9 or above plus a management qualification at SCQF level 8 or above. They will also have a broad current knowledge of Scottish social policy and child care legislation.
