An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with Victim Support Scotland (VSS) as a Policy and Research Officer, as part of the Communications and External Affairs team.

The role is to support the work, and to build the profile, influence and credibility of VSS with Scottish politicians, political parties and opinions formers developing and bringing about policies and practices that deliver immediate and lasting change for victims and witnesses.

Working closely with VSS’s Head of Communications & External Affairs, you will ideally be degree educated (in social sciences or similar) and you must have knowledge and/or work experience in parliamentary, public affairs or policy research. You will have demonstrable understanding of social policy, criminal and community justice issues in Scotland and have experience of undertaking and publishing research as well as public speaking.
