The EIS, Scotland’s largest and most influential professional organisation for teachers and lecturers, wishes to recruit a full-time Project Worker on a fixed term basis* to support the delivery of professional learning offered to EIS members through the Scottish Union Learning (SUL) programme.
To support this expanding area of EIS activity, a fixed term post of 9 months’ duration in the first instance is being offered. (It is intended that the post will continue for a further 12 months thereafter, subject to funding.)
Working with the EIS Professional Learning Co-ordinator, the EIS Education and Equality Department, and with the advice and support of Scottish Union Learning, the SUL Project Worker will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of the EIS’s nationwide programme of SUL-funded professional learning.
Applications for this post are invited from individuals with relevant experience in the co-ordination of union learning and/or other workplace/ professional learning, and who can accommodate some evening and weekend working on a TOIL (time off in lieu) basis.
