Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and pro-active Volunteer Coordinator to join our Social and Practical Team and assist in delivering these services.

The Hit Squad service offers newly housed clients a volunteer led painting and decorating service and is delivered throughout Edinburgh.

Organisational profile:

Fresh Start's mission is to help people make a home for themselves. From our 2 bases in Edinburgh we provide services to those who have experienced homelessness and we have four key aims:

• To enable people who have been homeless to resettle in their community.

• To provide volunteering opportunities that offer practical and emotional support to our clients.

• To help our clients develop life skills

• To involve church members and the wider community in our work to end homelessness

The charity’s aims are achieved through services that are delivered in three categories: Provision of Goods; Social and Practical Support; and Employability. The services are delivered throughout Edinburgh and support over 2,000 households per year.
