Play Together on Pedals and Glasgow Community Cycling Network:
Play Together on Pedals (PTOP) in Glasgow is a partnership project, led by Cycling UK, Play Scotland and Cycling Scotland. Initially funded as ‘Play on Pedals’ by the Peoples’ Postcode Lottery Dream Fund, the PTOP programme now includes family cycling opportunities and is part of the ‘Glasgow Community Cycling Network’ (GCCN) and funded by the Smarter Choices Smarter Places programme in Glasgow. This post is comprised of 22.5 hours per week on Play Together on Pedals Development Officer and 15 hours per week on Glasgow Community Cycling Network Co-ordinator
Purpose of Role:
The role of the Play Together on Pedals Development Officer is to support the programme development in early years settings, ensure families can access Play Together on Pedals through community based sessions and collaborate with the GCCN to enable more people to cycle in Glasgow for everyday journeys. The post holder will also act as the co-ordinator for the Glasgow Community Cycling Network, supporting the Network by co-ordinating joint events, liaising between partners, providing a secretariat for meetings and as the first point of contact for the Network.
