The Dartington Service Design Lab – an internationally respected research charity dedicated to improving child outcomes – is seeking a passionate and likeminded Researcher to join our dynamic team. Ideally based in Scotland, the candidate will enjoy a varied role, spanning child development and policy research, service design and public system reform.
To help deliver our vision, we are looking for a highly motivated, exceptional and well qualified researcher (ideally with a Master’s degree in a relevant social science or a first-class undergraduate degree – but kindly note: this is an entry level researcher’s post and therefore candidates that are qualified to PhD level for example, are unlikely to be considered)). Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• undertaking rapid reviews of evidence to inform service and system design;
• assisting with data collection, synthesis, management and analysis;
• preparing supporting materials for workshops, training and other events;
• drafting and refining reports, presentations and other dissemination outputs (including social media activities e.g. blogs, tweets etc.).
In particular, we require a highly organised and energetic self-starter with outstanding communication skills who is capable of quickly learning new competencies and adapting to different ways of working.
The position has a good degree of flexibility: as a team we largely operate
remotely across England and Scotland, using online and video communication
tools. The team members tend to work from home or together in co-working
