Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity.

SAMH has represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for more than 90 years.

Today, in over 60 communities we work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all: with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances.

respectme,Scotland’s anti-bullying service, is funded by Scottish Government and managed by the Scottish Association for Mental Health and LGBT Youth Scotland. As Campaigns and Communications Officer, you will join us at an exciting time when we are looking to build on our impact, reach new audiences and empower communities to create change. You will play a vital role in delivering respectme’s communication strategy and ensuring the voices of respectme’s stakeholders are reflected throughout. You will help drive digital engagement, content production and build on our national voice by creating national and local media opportunities and growing our profile and visibility.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate to fulfil this role. Experienced in a communications environment, you will have a track record in delivering successful campaigns and producing engaging and illustrative content. You’ll be an excellent communicator and have a creative and dynamic approach to campaigns and communications delivery.

Applications are welcome from people who have experienced mental health difficulties. A PVG check is required for this posts, along with a Right to Work in the UK check. Candidates will also be required to provide proof of qualifications declared on the application form.
