Role

Waverley Care is Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C charity. We are recruiting a part time Project Coordinator to join our HIV Street Support Project. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, the project is responding to the HIV outbreak in Glasgow by providing a street support service for people who inject drugs.

The project provides one-to-one support, ensuring people receive information and help to manage their chronic health needs, and breaks down barriers that prevent people from accessing essential healthcare services. The project adopts a preventative approach, providing harm reduction advice and information to those at risk of HIV. The overall aim is for people to live fuller, healthier and longer lives.

We are looking for someone who has a strong track record of working with vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs, who works well in a team as well as independently, and who is passionate about working with communities to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people in Scotland. If that sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.

In return, we offer a supportive and valuing work environment with encouragement to develop personally and professionally.
