Are you a qualified Money, Debt or Benefits Advisor looking to make a real difference in people’s lives? We are seeking two part time Advisors to join our team at the Edinburgh Food Project (EFP).
Edinburgh Food Project (EFP) is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. We were established in June 2012 to reduce the effects of food poverty in Edinburgh by providing emergency food parcels to people living in food poverty. We currently operate 7 foodbank centres across Edinburgh, which are open approximately 15 times per week and have 190 dedicated volunteers. The Centres are in Pilton, Craigmillar, Grassmarket, Tollcross, Broughton, Rannoch and South Queensferry.
We have recently been awarded funding from the Aspiring Communities Fund to partner with Community Money Advice (CMA) to provide advice on budgeting, benefits and debt across our network of 7 centres. We applied for this funding in response to our recent research on the needs of those attending out foodbanks. We are seeking to support people coming to our Centres to deal with debt, maximise their income and to prevent future crises.
These are temporary appointments in the first instance. We have funding until December 2020.
Travel : Due to our multi-site operations a valid driver’s licence and own vehicle are desirable with a mileage rate paid for travel expenses
