Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, SAMH operates 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services among others. These services, together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention and active living; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
An opportunity has arisen for support worker 2 role in our Dundee service. We expect our support workers to establish positive relationships with service users and offer practical and emotional support. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a mature and caring attitude and possess excellent listening and communication skills. They will also have experience of working in the field of mental health or social care and will be qualified to SVQ Level III in care or equivalent or the willingness to undertake this. Whatever your background, a flexible caring approach combined with good practical skills will be essential. You should be flexible in the hours you are available to work.
The post will involve travel across various locations so a full driving licence and access to your own transport is required.
